I work with adults who have a complicated or difficult history with food and body image, and who want to make steadier, long-term changes to how they eat and care for themselves.
Most people I support come to me with challenges such as binge or restrictive eating, cycles of dieting and weight fluctuation, emotional or compulsive eating, or ongoing preoccupation with food. They are often looking to rebuild trust with food, improve their energy, and feel more at ease in their bodies, rather than follow another set of rules.
Alongside this, many clients experience physical concerns such as digestive symptoms, gut-related conditions, fatigue, blood sugar imbalance or low mood. Where appropriate, I offer personalised, nutrition-led guidance to support health and wellbeing in a way that feels manageable and non-restrictive.
My approach is personalised and holistic, integrating nutritional therapy with behaviour change support. It considers both physical and emotional wellbeing, and focuses on building skills and confidence that support sustainable change over time.

One-to-one support usually begins with a comprehensive initial session, where we build a picture of your eating patterns, health history, lifestyle, and your relationship with food and your body. This first session is typically around two hours and helps us clarify priorities and shape the focus of our work together.
When the aim is to create longer-term change in eating habits and food confidence, sessions often include a blend of personalised nutrition guidance, education, reflective conversation and skill-building to bring stability to eating patterns, and build self-trust and a more settled relationship with food and your body.
Where appropriate, and particularly within more nutrition-focused work, assessment may also include discussion of functional testing to explore factors such as nutrient status, gut health, digestion or other markers of health. Any recommendations are always discussed collaboratively and tailored to your needs.
Everyone’s journey is individual and unfolds at its own pace, especially when working with long-standing eating patterns, body image concerns, or more complex health issues. Ongoing consultations are usually 45–75 minutes, with shorter check-in sessions (around 20 minutes) offered where helpful.
Most sessions take place online via secure video link using my Practice Better client hub. This platform also allows us to share resources, forms and follow-up notes, manage bookings, and communicate between sessions through a private messaging service.
Choosing the right support with a person with whom you feel comfortable and confident, is important.
I offer a complimentary 25-minute enquiry call for anyone considering working together. This gives us the chance to talk through what you are looking for, the challenges you are facing, and establish if I am the right practitioner to support your needs, and to decide on the most appropriate next step.
There is no obligation to commit and anything you share is treated in complete confidence.
You can book an enquiry call using the link here, or email me at sarah@gutreaction.co.uk if you’d prefer to get in touch that way.
It is completely understandable to feel unsure about working online, especially if you are used to face-to-face support. Many people initially wonder whether it will feel as personal or effective.
In practice, online sessions offer the same level of care, attention and professional support as in-person work.
We are still able to explore your eating patterns, challenges and needs in depth, and build the skills and understanding that support change. For many people, being in their own space can actually make conversations feel easier and more relaxed.
Online support also offers practical benefits - it removes travel time, fits more easily around work and family life, and allows continuity of support wherever you are based.
If you have any concerns, you are very welcome to raise them on an enquiry call so we can talk them through together.
I don’t offer weekend appointments. However, I do work a couple of weekday evenings and also offer early morning sessions, including 8am appointments.
My regular working hours are:
Tuesday - daytime
Wednesday and Thursday - daytime and evenings
Friday - afternoons
I aim to be as flexible as possible within these times, so if you have specific scheduling needs, please feel free to ask and we can see what might work.
Most of my work is offered online, which allows for flexibility and continuity of support. Face-to-face sessions are more limited, but if you have a strong preference for meeting in person, please let me know and we can explore whether this is possible.
Yes, absolutely. Whilst most of Gut Reaction’s clients are based in Warwickshire, around the Cotswolds, Berkshire and Surrey, I work remotely with people across the UK, Europe and Australia.
Support is available from £275.
For more information, please see an overview of the options available here, or talk to me to discuss your needs as support can be tailored.
A complimentary 25-minute enquiry call is available. This is recommended and part of your journey. Please contact me to book yours.
It is completely understandable to feel unsure about the cost of support, especially if you are already juggling other priorities.
Even if you are unsure, you are very welcome to book a no-obligation enquiry call so we can explore your options together, without any pressure to commit.
I offer different programme lengths and session frequencies, along with monthly payment options, to help make support more manageable. We can explore what feels realistic for you and whether now is the right time.
I provide invoices, and payments are usually made via bank transfer ahead of consultations.
Payment plans are available.
This hasn’t happened before (fingers crossed!), but if you committed to a programme and decided not to continue immediately after the initial consultation, then at that point it would be possible to have the remainder of your programme refunded.
I don’t work directly with insurance companies or handle claims on your behalf. However, some private health insurance policies do cover nutritional therapy or allow you to claim for sessions independently.
If you have private health insurance, it is worth checking directly with your provider whether nutritional therapy is included in your policy, and what documentation they require. I’m happy to provide invoices or receipts if needed.
